Geralyn Ann Harrington Dubec (aka Jeri as she loathed the name Geralyn) passed away at home on February 13, 2019 in Houston, TX. She held on as long as she could; but thoughtfully ensured that her death would not occur on Valentine’s Day, as that would “bum everyone out."
Jeri was born the middle daughter of Don and Verne Harrington on November 1, 1957 in East Brunswick, NJ. She spent most of her early years in East Brunswick, but later traveled the world with her family, living in Spain and Australia. She graduated Penn State University in 1980, the first woman to earn her degree in Agricultural Mechanization.
She eventually settled in Houston, where she began her career as Inside Sales / Project Manager for several different flow control manufacturing companies.
Jeri’s greatest loves were her son Erik, her husband David, and her numerous strong-willed family members.
In her husband David, she found a perfect match for the intelligent, kind, and humorous person she was. As a mother, she was a fierce protector and provider of guidance and support. As a daughter and sister, she was a gentle, tireless supporter and voice of reason.
A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of this amazing person who enriched so many lives is at 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019. All are welcome to come celebrate Jeri’s life; but as she would likely say, "only if it’s no trouble."
