He was born August 24, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Joe and Velma Flores. Jerry was a kind and generous soul, he never met a stranger. He genuinely cared about others.
Jerry worked for the Houston Police Department for 28 years in patrol and the Gang Task Force. He also worked with Major League Baseball and security for the Astros and their families during the 2017 World Series.
Jerry, aka “JFLO” was sometimes jokingly referred to as “The Mayor of Midtown”. He had a heart of gold and worried about everyone. His smile was infectious and lit up every room as he walked in. Jerry was loved by so many.
He leaves behind his sister, Linda Meyer; brother, Joe Flores; niece, Gyna and husband, Steve; their children; nephew, Ryen and wife, Kelly; Brandon and Rance; nephew, Brian Finley and wife, Jennifer, niece, Meg; nephew Jeff Flores; great-niece, Kendall and great-great niece Kastyn and great-great-nephew, Pearce.
