Jerry K. Price

Jerry K. Price, 76, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 with family by his side at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston after a nearly five-month battle with leukemia. He was born on October 10, 1935 to Roy and Margaret (Hudson) Price in Decatur, Ind., where he remained a connected member of the community long after moving to New Orleans and later Houston. Jerry graduated from Pleasant Mills High School as a basketball athlete and studied at Purdue University. He went on to serve as Vice President of Operations for Union Equity, was a member of The Propeller Club in Galveston, and was a lifetimemember of GEAPS.

Known to his grandchildren as "PawPaw," Jerry was a dedicated family man, fair-minded father, avid sports fan, and loving husband of 56 years to Jeanene Babcock Price. His work ethic and unyielding positivity inspired his family, friends and neighbors. Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Danny.

He is survived by wife Jeanene; brother Jim; daughters Ann Gonsalves (Greg), Julie Bernard (Everett), Sheryl Sheppard (Scott), Becky Eiermann (Patrick), and Jennifer Reynolds (Brad); son Rick (Connie); and 14 grandchildren.
