

Jerry was born on Friday, the 28th of June 1935, in Paint Creek, Texas, the seventh child of Ed and Maude Welsh. He graduated from Paint Creek High School, attended Hardin Simmons University, served in the United States Air Force and retired from Aetna Life & Casualty.
Jerry was a very caring man, proud veteran, former Sunday School teacher, football and baseball coach. His son and grandsons were his greatest joy. He loved watching them play sports and never missed a game. Jerry also enjoyed his weekend trips to Galveston, going to shows at the Opera House and ETC, eating at Mosquito and the Spot and sitting on the Seawall.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Toni, son Jimmy and his wife Gina, daughter, Jenny Welsh, his sister, Billie Bean of Stamford, Texas and grandsons, Harrison, Caden and Jacob, numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
A memorial service celebrating Jerry's life was conducted by Reverend Wick Stuckey at one o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 30th of November, in the sanctuary of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay Houston, Texas, 77024 (713) 465-3467.
