I served with Jesse Infante at Ft Irwin.  The day I saw his name on the list of soldiers lost in a magazine I was in total disbelief.  How could this funny, caring, dedicated individual that I knew be gone?  We had great times in the motor pool and in the field with our wild platoon of fuelers that I will never forget and will always cherish.  Thank you for being a good friend.   Thank you for your service.  You are missed.

Not a day goes by where I don’t look at your photo in my living room and say what else can I do to make you proud. We miss you Jesse thank you for always being our guardian angel!! 

I still can’t believe you’re gone. I’m honored to have served with you  in Iraq and go on missions together during our time with 1-66 Armor.    Even though you’re gone you will always live in our memory.

Miss you brother, you give me strength everyday to be a better leader and Soldier.  I will never forget you!

When I saw Jesse's picture on the news I couldn't believe my eyes I was in shock. I was waiting for someone, anyone to post anything on services but didn't find anything until now by coincidence. Jesse was a good friend in high school he always knew how to make you smile if you were down. I only got to talk to him a few times when he came in town and all he would talk about is his baby girl and wife and how he lives for them. He was so caring and understanding. He will never be forgotten and my heart and prayers go out to his family always.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to S/SGT. Jesse Infante our Brother-in-Arms .   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jesse.  And to Jesse it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan.  No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another.  Jesse, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero.  With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure.  We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son, father and brother. We are deeply grateful and honored for his service to our nation. Greater love has no man than to give his life for his friend. All give some and some give all. My family will remember Jesse and his family in our prayers. May God comfort you as you grieve for Jesse.

To the family, my heartfelt condolences.  Jesse is buried next to my son, Shane Martin.  I was visiting Shane today and said a prayer for Jesse.
