

Jimmy Leo Barker, born May 4, 1940 in Lake Village, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly September 2, 2012, in his home in San Leon, Texas. Jimmy moved to Houston in 1959 and began his career at First City National Bank. He later joined Medical Center Bank as Vice President, where he enjoyed being the banking representative for many of the Houston Oilers. After retiring from the banking business, he embarked on another career as a real estate broker in the Houston Heights. In recent years he retired to San Leon where he owned and operated Barker Propane.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Christine, sons Brett H. Barker and Wayne G. Barker of Houston, daughter Christy L. Barker and her brother S. Michael Costello of Houston. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, MJ & Billy Jones of Magnolia, niece Sharon W. Luczak and her husband Michael of Tomball, their children Lindsay and Matthew Luczak, and Patsy Barker, mother of his sons.
