Jimmy Jay Tomlinson, 49, beloved son of Margaret Birdsong and J.W. Tomlinson, passed away on February 4, 2012 and now rests in the loving arms of God. He was born in Houston on January 31, 1963. Jay graduated from Nimitz High School, and received a degree from Ventura College. Jay will be remembered for his humor and his open and generous spirit. He held his loved ones close to his heart and touched the lives of so many. Jay is survived by his mother Margaret Louise Birdsong and his father J.W. Tomlinson; his daughter Tamra Jae Tomlinson, and his son Corey Ray Tomlinson; his sisters, Nancy Hoff and her husband Larry Hoff and Robin Curtis and her husband Mike Curtis; his brothers Jay Scott Tomlinson, and Micheal Lee Tomlinson, and by a large beloved extended family. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Earthman Resthaven Chapel, Rev. Lester Hutson, officiating. Interment to follow, Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
