Jo Ann Lambert

Jo Ann Kelnar Lambert, born on April 6, 1942, in Houston, TX, went to her eternal resting place on April 13, 2025, at her home in Georgetown TX, due to a short illness. She was the beloved daughter of Emil and Annie Kelnar, and Sister to Ramond Kelnar. She lived in Houston for over 60 years and attended school at St. Teresa Catholic School further graduating from Marian High School. Her hobbies were yardwork, cooking/baking and talking politics. In 2006, she made Georgetown her home to be close to her grandsons, who were her pride and joy, where she dedicated her time attending many of their school activities and sporting events.

Jo Ann is survived by her two children, son Steven Lambert and his wife Susan of Irving, TX; daughter Sheryl Haas and her husband Andy Haas of Kingsland, TX; two grandsons Drew Haas of Georgetown, TX; and Jordan Haas of Dallas, TX; Sister in law Gussie Kelnar of Hallettsville, TX; and her Nephews Brian of Houston, TX; Kevin of Kyle, TX; and Mark Kelnar of Hallettsville, TX.

As a single parent, she was self-less putting her family first. Jo Ann succeeded in her career from bookkeeping to logistics with nothing but hard work and determination. Retiring from Exxon\Mobil was one of her prideful accomplishments after 17 years of service.

Jo Ann was known as a shining light of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by the love of her family, hard work and an unwavering faith in our Lord.

A visitation for Jo Ann will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St.Theresa Catholic Church 6622 Haskell, Houston, TX 77007. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00AM . Burial will occur immediately following mass at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023.
