Joe Otis Elton Franklin, Jr., age 65, passed away Sunday, December 01, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Marie Franklin; sisters, Virginia Shelton and Jo Ellen Taylor; and grandson, Riley Starr. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine Franklin; children, Donna Dozier and husband Jose Mata, Jeannette Starr and husband Nick, and Robert Franklin; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Baudat, Estelle Baldridge, Judy Watson, and Gloria Bright. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Robert Franklin, Jose Mata, Nick Starr, Devin Dozier, Jonathan Dozier, and Rex Granberry.
