Joe was born in Houston on October 2, 1942. He graduated from Sam Houston High School and continued on to Sam Houston State University to receive a master’s degree.
Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War in 1967 to 1969. He also served as a Reserve until 1973. He continued his love and patriotism for America by volunteering with local elections. Joe’s other loves were his family, friends and his cats.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Claude Willie Loring and his mother Florence Lou Loring.
Joe is survived by brothers, Jon Loring and wife Mary, Jerry Loring and wife Barbara, Larry Loring and wife Fay, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other family and friends. Joe will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 9 am -11:00 am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with Services following at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forest Park Lawndale Funeral home, 6900 Lawndale Ave, Houston, TX, 77023.
