John Riley Biggs

JOHN RILEY BIGGS, 86, of Houston, passed away on March 31, 2026 after a lengthy battle with dementia. He was born on June 11, 1939 to the late Ruth Morgan Biggs and Thomas Morgan Biggs, in Houston, Texas.

He graduated from Lamar High School in 1957, attended Dartmouth College, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1962 and the University of Texas School of Business in 1964.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty Armistead Biggs in 2010 and his second wife Toni Raia Biggs in 2019.

He is survived by his brother Thomas Morgan Biggs and wife Katherine, son John Gardner Biggs and wife Jennifer Delaney Biggs, son Andrew Morgan Biggs and wife Leslie Lawhon Biggs, daughter Katherine Biggs Brusselback and husband Richard Raymond Brusselback, and grandchildren Delaney Grace Biggs, John Wyatt Biggs, Christian Morgan Biggs, William Darden Biggs, Mary Armistead Brusselback, Jane Devenport Brusselback and Baker Biggs Brusselback.

John never met a stranger and was always quick with a joke on the golf course or Friday night tex-mex. He will be greatly missed by all.

Private family services will be held at a later date this summer.
