John Robert Fish

John Robert Fish, age 69, born May 19, 1949 originally of Anderson, Indiana and final residents in Houston, Texas joined our Heavenly Father May 12, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Juanita Fish, his wife Clara Rose Fish and siblings Loice Pardue, Joe Fish, Arthur (Pork) Fish and Sue Van Duyn. He is survived by his brother Jim Fish and his children John Junior Fish, Melissa Barnes, Shelly Sartin and step children Charles Nix, Martin Nix and Sheila Wall as well as 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

John went to school in Indiana, worked in construction and later retired from Cameron Management working security. John loved to fish with his family, play poker and hang out with friends at the The American Legion-Garden Oak Post 560. The silver haired fox will be lovingly remembered for his onerous nature and his quick wit. He was a happy, loving man who lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker and spending time with his friends and family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14 from 5-7 pm, Services and burial to be held Wednesday, May 15 at 10am at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.

Following the service please join us for a Celebration of Life luncheon from 1-3pm at The America Legion Garden Oak Post 560, 3720 Alba Road, Houston, TX 77018.

In honor of “Fish”, charitable donations can be made to The America Legion Post 560 – Garden Oaks.
