On January 11, 1975 John Alvin Marshall, Jr. was born in Pensacola, Florida to Brenda Thompson Marshall and John A. Marshall, Sr. He was the first son of six boys. John Jr. accepted Christ at a young age. He was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.
He attended Channelview High School and graduated May 28, 1993. He graduated in the top 10 of his class and studied mathematics and social economics.
On January 14, 1994 John Jr. enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served his country and received an honorable discharge.
In 1996 John Jr. started his work career in processing medical insurance loan claims with United Health Care, Amerigroup and CVS Aetna Health Care.
John Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julia Middleton, Eddie and Katie Marshall; two aunts, Shirley Newman and Katie Gay; three uncles, Harold Thompson, Sr., Ernest and Edward Marshall; a cousin, Michael James and a brother, Monthell Marshall.
He is survived by his loving mother and father, Brenda Thompson Marshall and John A. Marshall, Sr.(Audrey).
Four brothers, Frederick B. Marshall(Taisha Edward), Patrick C.A. Marshall, Sr.(Miesha), Adam W. Marshall and Aaron L. Marshall. A very special friend, Gina Johnson and Douglas, Hannah, Hunter Casey and Ryan Sauls all of Houston, T. One great aunt, Mary Lee Robinson of Pensacola, Fl. Five aunts, Irene Braxton, Alberta, Jackson and Essie Jefferson of Houston, TX. Deborah Thompson of Pensacola, FL and Earnestine Middleton, New Orleans, La. Three uncles, Roger Middleton of Fargo, ND, Lesince Thompson and Calvin Thompson of Alabama. Three nieces, eight nephews, two special cousins, Madelene Williams of Houston, TX and James Crayton of Pensacola, FL. One step-brother, James Cooks, two step-sisters Lyenesia Jenkins and Willisa Cooks and a host of family and friends.
