A lifetime native Houstonian, he served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army, during which he was honored with the National Defense Service Medal. After his service, he built a successful career and later retired from Universal Alloy.
John was a man of many passions. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and barbequing on the weekends. He especially enjoyed taking his beloved dog, Lefty, to the park. With a sharp wit, sarcastic humor, and a deep well of wisdom, he was a natural storyteller who brought laughter and insight to every gathering. John was a loyal friend, a dependable neighbor, and someone you could always count on.
He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” C. May Sr., his mother, Pauline, his brother, Alan, and his son, Ronald.
John’s legacy will live on through his loving family: granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Monica and George, Felicia and William, Jessica and David; great-grandchildren, Nathan, John, Alanah, Tristan, Camila, Zoey, and Natalio; his daughter-in-law, Lidia; and his loyal companion, Lefty.
His presence, stories, and laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
