

John Earl Roberson known as "Shug" was born in Heflin, Louisiana on October 25, 1929 to the late John E. Roberson and Bertha Roberson Jones.He received his education from Central Consolidate Jr. High School. After school John was employed at Paul Bakery shop for 20 years. John also worked at Wholesale Electric for 38 years as a truck driver. After retiring he decided to go work as a crossing guard for the school for 2 years.John Earl confessed his life to Christ at early age where he attended Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of late Rev. L.P. Pointer. He served as a Chairman of the Deacon Board, participated in the men choir and also a teacher in Sunday school. He was very faithful to his church. He enjoyed going to Bible Study, devoted his time to his church.After church was over he was ready for his favorite Sunday dinner Collard Greens and hot water cornbread.John's hobbies were fishing, planting a garden and playing with his dogs.John Earl leaves to cherish memories a wife Lula Mae Roberson, son Ronnie Green, daughter Felicia Hadnot Davis (David) brother Roger Roberson (Clo), and a sister Eurdell Moore. John is preceded in death by his parents John & Bertha Roberson, a daughter Wanda Ann Roberson, son Lawrence Roberson and 3 brothers Elbert, Charles and Leon Roberson and a sister Lenora Roberson and a host of nieces, nephews,
