Born in Atlanta, TX. Survived by his wife of 63 years,Shirley. Sons Johnny Travis Jr.and wife Karen and Travis Lovell and wife Nathena both of Houston, Texas. He was "Pa Pa" to Granddaughter Elizabeth Bagwell Husband Dale of Lake Jackson, Texas, grandson TJ . Great grandchildren Joshua and Cason Bagwell and Jaxon Bagwell due in July. And step grandchildren Kayde and Mackenzie Bagwell. Also, sister in law Lena Burkhalter husband Bubba of Aldine, Texas. And sister in law Concetta Drake and husband Geoffrey Drake of San Benito, Texas. And numerous nieces and nephews.He is predeased by mother Ada Lewis and father John Lewis, sister Cyrne Muguerza, Raymond Lewis, Jarrold Lewis and Harold Lewis. He is survived by a brother Nathan Lewis of Grapeland and Gale Leverett of Spring. He retired after 30 years with Armco Steel as a rigger and retired from Kroger after 5 years. He enjoyed his years as a football and little league coach for his two sons. He spent his free time fishing, hunting and gardening. He grew the best oranges and vegetables. He was a quiet and gentle man, who is loved and missed by his family.
