Jon Harvey Daniel

Jon Harvey Daniel, 69, passed away on December 29, 2015. He was born on August 18, 1946 in Houston Texas to Robert and Louise Daniel. Jon was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife Becky Askew Daniel; son J.J. Daniel and wife Stephanie of Victoria; Kelly Daniel and wife Lisa of Dripping Springs; grandchildren Blake, Bailey, Dalton, Katie Daniel, Greyson and Sophie Elkins; Sister Mary Ellen and Husband Don Harrison; Brother Gary Daniel and wife Lynn and brother Trey Daniel; and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws James and Betty Vines; Andy and Rose Askew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jon graduated from Robert E. Lee High School (Houston) in 1965. He followed his father into the family radiator business becoming the owner of Daniel Radiator and Heat Exchanger from 1975 until his retirement in 2015.

Jon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was an avid fisherman spending much of his free time with family and friends on the Gulfcoast between Galveston and Copano bay chasing speckled trout.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Houston’s Forest Park Lawndale Chapel followed by services at 2:30pm officiated by the Reverend Mickey Ewing. In lieu of flowers; the family requests that donations be made to the Coastal Conservation Association (www.ccatexas.org).
