He is preceded in death by his mother Sofia L Castillo.
Jose is survived by his father Gregorio Castillo and his sisters Maria L. Castillo-Martinez and Maria A Castillo-Lara husbands Marcos Martinez and Andres Lara Jr. His nieces and nephews Fernando Lara and wife Juliana, son Romeo Lara, Angelina Martinez, Vanessa Lara , Julissa Lara, Gabriela Martinez and Marcos Gregorio Martinez.
A committal service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023, on November 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
