JOSE MARIA CORTINA, 81 . The Lord called him to His Kingdom on November 8, 2010. Born in General Teran, N.L., Mexico on October 12, 1929, he worked hard as a laborer all his life to provide a better future for his family. His love and caring way will be missed by all of us.He is preceded in death by his parents Elias and Andrea Cortina and daughter Irma Cortina. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Maria Irene Davila de Cortina and his brother Guillermo Cortina; his children Joel Cortina, Elias and Connie Cortina, Idalia and Bernard Covernale, Imelda Cortina, Iliana and Robert Ruiz, Irene and Luis Cervantes, and fourteen grandchildren.Visitation (5-9 pm) and Rosary (7pm) on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, November 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery following celebration.
