June 2, 2024 marks 10 years that my father Jose G. Mendiola passed away at the hospital.  I miss speaking with him, we would talk about anything and everything, he was a good listener and also had good advice.  My father is resting in peace, and we miss him and look forward to meeting up with him in Heaven with our heavenly father God Almighty and his son Jesus.  Till we meet again, I love you very Much Papa'  Thank you for all the good times and for always thinking of us and being there for of us.

It has already been 10 long years since you been gone. We know that you are enjoying everything God has to offer in the heavenly. It's been 10 yrs since my Father passed away.  I miss him dearly.
All I have is the wonderful memories and soon the day will come when we will all be together.

Today, Monday June the 6th is the same day My father took his last Breath, 8 years ago to this Day.  My father required oxygen since one of his lung collapse.  The nurse said that she went to check on my Father early Monday morning and he did not have his oxygen mask on, she said he would never remove it or when they had to remove to clean it or clean his nose, My Father would always reach for it, and did not want them to remove it.  But my Father as sick as he was with 5th stage Cancer he had enough, I believe he knew that the oxygen was helping him stay alive, so I believe he did not want to  suffer anymore trying to breath with only one lung so he made the decision not to have the oxygen anymore, because the nurse said that she try to put it back on him when she found it off, but he refused so she let him be, and left the room it was later that they found him not breathing anymore he had passed away.  when I went to visit I went into the room and could not believe that he did not have his oxygen on and was not connected to other machines they had to monitor him, I could tell by his blanket that he was not breathing anymore, before you could see him having labored breathing and his blankets would be moving up and down.  Also I noticed the towel under his chin, but I immediately left the room and called out to the nurse who came in a hurry and I kept telling her why is my Father not hooked up to anything his oxygen and the other machines, I kept telling her Why?  I knew in my mind that my Father had passed away, but I wanted the nurse to tell me.  She said I am sorry, but your Dad passed away early this morning.  I could not believe it that He Died, But at the same time I was relieved I did not want to see my Father suffer anymore, he had lost a lot of weight and I could see his bones through his skin.  he could not eat or speak anymore.  I miss my Father very much to this Day, He was my friend, He was my Father who helped me and my Family, God Bless his Soul.

Today, my Father passed away 6 yrs ago.  Funny how time flies, and how time has eased some of my pain.  I miss my Father, and wish he were her to speak with, like we use to do.  I am somehow relieved that he does not have to be exposed to what is happening in this time and age of Corona virus pandemic and other crisis in this world.  The world is changing rapidly, but one thing remains still the same is my Love for my Father who rest's in peace.   We are nearing the end of all things, like it says in the Bible, and I look forward to the day I can be with my father in heaven.  Thank you lord almighty God for giving me a righteous man for a father.  My father cared so much for his family and did what he could to help us, even till  his last breath.  My father accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior a day before passing away.  He did not want to live anymore in pain and suffering, I am sure he said: it is finished, and removed the oxygen (per Nurse) and later took his last breath, so he could be with his Lord, God Almighty in Heaven.  Thank you to my father for everything you have done for us.  And thank you to my heavenly father God almighty in your son Jesus name,  for taking care of my father and all of us.  Amen.

It would of been my dads birthday Oct.18.  His good memories live on. 
As I walk out the door each day ,I see his picture. I cannot help but smile, as I am reminded by his smiling face and good attitude that he always had. He would always tell us "Make the best of each day, and try to get to wherever you're going  earlier than expected ".

I thank our Lord YHWH for a caring and loving earthly father, and for my family.

October 18, 2019, marks 5 years ago today that my Father Jose G. Mendiola passed away.  It's funny how time flies, going faster each year.  As I go on day to day, month to month, year to year,  working and busy with other activities of daily living.  I always pause to reflect on the memories I have of my Father, through good and bad times my Father was always there for me.  People are born everyday and people die everyday, things happen good and bad, but as my Father told me Life goes on, do not dwell, keep going,  and that is what I am doing, my father is gone, but surely not forgotten,  time has help heal the pain of losing my Father who was not only my Dad but also a good Friend.  I am still trying to be the best I can be, I look up to my Father who overcame a lot and manage not to dwell on the negative and the past, like he said shape up or ship out, keep moving, Life goes on.  Thank you my father for your guidance and for never giving up on me, thank you very much, I love you and miss you.  I look forward to seeing you again one day in Heaven.   

June, 2018, It has been four years now that my Father took his last breath and surrendered his life to the Lord.  I have been very busy taking care of my Mom, who suffered another stroke this month as well as a seizure while in the hospital.  I have also been busy now that I have begin working another contract assignment.   The days are short but the memories are long, as I struggle with my day to day activities, and always have my Father in the back of my Mind.  How I wish my father was still hear, who always listen to everything I would say and offer his friendly and fatherly advise.  My Father was a very intelligent man, but did not show it or sound like it, he was not college educated, but life educated, he learn from all of the issues and struggles in his long journey called Life.  Even though my father is not with us today, his memory lives on in our Hearts and in our Minds, Rest peacefully my Father, I hope to be with you someday when it is my time and season.  Thank you Lord Almighty God for blessing us with such a very Caring and Loving Father.

Three years ago Today, My Father gave his life to Jesus Christ and he took his last Breath and surrendered his life to the Lord.  They say that Time heals everything and that life is short.  I believe this to be true, I have accepted that my Father is no longer with us physically, but mentally and spiritually he is still in my Life. the pain is a little easier to bare, and the Memories are Many, I just wished I could of spent more time with My Father. Time is something that you can never get back, you have to take advantage of the time that you do have with your love ones while they are still alive.  I hope to reunited with my Father in Heaven one day, I just pray for my family and myself to all come together and spend more time with one another, as they say life is short. use your time wisely.

To my nephew Danny and nieces Patsy and Maya, and all the Mendiolas--as time goes by,the grief and sadness starts to change. It is not necessarily easier, but one can focus on all the beautiful good memories and try to let go of any painful moments, especially when your dad was so ill.  May God comfort you and know that your dad's memory will live forever in our hearts.  Love you

Today marks two years that my Father passed away.  The pain is a little less, but the memories we had together are very fresh in my mind and in my heart.  I miss getting together with my Father on the weekends to talk about anything from my Job to sports.  He was a good listener and always had good advice.   Even though he is not here, I'm glad he is not suffering anymore from the illness that took his life.  He is resting in peace, and I thank god almighty for that.  I still go to his resting place to visit and make sure that his area is nice and clean, and that the grass is watered and green, so far with all the rain we had I've not have to water the grass so far this year.  I miss my Papa', and I look forward to being with him again in God's Kingdom, God bless.

It has been more than a year since my father has passed away. I miss him dearly. He was always there for me and he was a good listener. But he is asleep in peace and not suffering anymore and this is comforting to me.I am looking forward when our Lord and savior Yehoshuah (Jesus Christ) returns for us and then I will see my dad again.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 4:18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

On June the 2nd of 2014, my father past away. He is resting in peace; I miss him very very much!  He was my Father, but also a very good Friend.  If you ever get an opportunity, please visit his burial site in the Washington Cemetery (Section C-lot 82), located on 2525 Washington Ave. between Studemont and Sawyer St (near old Sixth ward/downtown).  Note: Washington Cemetery is located inside the Beautiful Historic Glenwood Cemetery-ask security guard at main entrance for directions. Once at the entrance of Wash.cemetery go straight, second road turn right, and his memorial stone is located halfway down on the right side near big tree, a small American Flag is in front of his stone.
