Jose Miguel Reese, a beloved and cherished individual, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on September 18, 1960, Jose was a resident of Hockley, Texas. He was known for his adventurous, brave, and compassionate spirit, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and wisdom.
From living in poverty to becoming a devoted and hard-working individual, Jose's early life was marked by resilience and determination. He retired from the City of Houston Waste Management Division, where his dedication and honesty were greatly admired. He then proceeded to successfully create Reese Demolition & Salvage and Reese Fireworks LLC, which he was very proud of.
Jose married his first wife at the age of 20 and had four children. After a divorce, he married his present wife in 2004 and adopted her two children. He loved his entire family wholeheartedly, being a faithful and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. His family includes his spouse, Deborah Reese; siblings Mary, Theresa, Rosemary, David, Gloria, and Annette; and children Timothy Reese, Ashlie Rinehart, Cassie Rector, Kayla Reese, Meagan Reese, and Zachary Reese. He was also a proud grandfather to Tyler, Joshua, Erika, Nicholas, Briana, Aiden, Braylon, Ashton, Ethan, Zander, Kensley, Brooklyn, Branson, Rowdy, and Jackson.
Jose's personal interests included auctions, gambling, antiques, thrifting, and spending time with family. He was a humorous and inspirational figure who never met a stranger and was always giving. His selfless nature and thoughtful demeanor touched the lives of many.
The Reese family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Jose's legacy remains in his children and grandchildren, and he will truly be missed. He will always and forever be in our hearts to infinity and beyond. His final words, "Can I get a glass of cold water, please," reflect his gentle and kind-hearted nature.
