Joseph Nicholas Chetta

Joseph Nicholas Chetta , age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1939, in Houston, Texas, to Frances and Joseph Chetta. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Lu Chetta, and his parents. He is survived by his children, daughters, Frances Chetta Stolle and husband, Patrick, Deborah Chetta Bradley and husband, Alan, and son, Nicholas Joseph Chetta and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Nicolette Chetta, Joseph Chetta, Gabriella Chetta, Cameron Stolle, Blake Bradley, Connor Stolle, Todd Bradley and Daniella Chetta; brother, Phillip Chetta; sister, Mary Chetta Aquilina and husband, Marion; nephew, Marion Aquilina, Jr.; niece, Ashley Aquilina Pavlock and husband, Adam; stepchildren, Renee Mills Stack and husband, Steve, Stephanie Mills, Natalie Mills and John Mills; stepmother, Bernece Chetta, and numerous friends and family members. Joseph attended St. Thomas High School and graduated in 1958. He always enjoyed getting together with his classmates every year for alumni events. He attended the University of Houston, and went on to work for Stewart and Stevenson, briefly. Soon thereafter, he became a business owner of multiple washaterias and rental properties. He was passionate about his businesses and he repaired, replaced and built everything himself. He helped a number of people in the process. The family will be forever grateful for the loving care that he received at The Hampton at Meadows Place and from the special nurses from Altus Hospice. Services will be held, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, at 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Texas 77023; visitation at 11:00 a.m., service at 12:00 p.m., and graveside service, immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Altus Hospice Care in Houston, Texas.
