Josephine Villarreal, age 88, a native of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. She was born on November 7, 1933. She married Benito Villarreal December 3, 1960. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Rosicrucian Order and had a passion for reading Angels on Earth.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Benito; grandson, Shawn Barrera; and siblings, Lidia Flores, Theresa Castillo, Carlos Tejerina, and Rosie Tejerina.
She is survived by her children, John Barrera Jr, Virginia Villarreal, and Elizabeth Villarreal; grandchildren, James Flores, Theressa Lopez, Maria Capehart, Mario Flores Jr, Alejandro Flores, Benito Lopez, and Jose Rodriguez Jr; great-grandchildren, Leearin Williams, Brendon Barrera, Mirayna Lopez, Christopher Rodriguez, Samantha Lopez, Victor Capehart, Jonas Capehart, Eli Flores, Macaria Flores, Alexander Rodriguez, Mateo Rodriguez, Nicholas lopez, Opal Capehart, Devan Flores; and five sisters, Mary, Cecilia, Lupe, Dolores, and Dolores.
A visitation for Josephine will be held Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
