

Born Josephine Helen Hardilek January 27, 1921, in Beaumont, Texas, Josephine’s family moved to Port Arthur, then to Houston when she was seven years old. The youngest of six children she grew up and lived in the Houston area for 80 years before moving to Tomball in 2008. Josephine and Cleatus M. Walker were married in 1938 and were together until his death in 2007. She is also preceded in death by her father Henry Hardilek, mother Mary Raaz Hardilek, brothers Frank, Joe, Eddie and Bennie, and Sister Mary. Her beloved daughter - in-law, Mary Alice Williams Walker, passed away in 2015.
Josephine is survived by her son, Jerry Walker, daughter, Pat Walker, granddaughter Sherry Walker McAllister and husband Greg, grandson Jeff Walker and wife Diane, six great-grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Mike, Rebecca and husband Pete, Amy and husband Andrew, Travis, Zach and Madison, as well as five great-great-grandchildren Colby, Cassidy, Elliana, Adalyn and Peter Bradley.
Josephine’s love for animals was one of her most endearing qualities. Stray dogs and cats always seemed to know where to get a free meal. She was one of the early members of Citizens for animal Protection in Houston where she endeavored to keep animals off the streets and into forever homes.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2018 with a visitation to begin at 12:00PM and service at 1:00PM in the Colonial Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jeff Walker, Zach Walker, Travis Snyder, Mike Jones, Pete Diaz, and Walter Parker.
