Mary Josephine (Memaw) Whitlock, 100, of Houston, Texas passed away on February 4, 2013. She was born in Yoakum, Texas to Lily May and George Waggoner on May 24, 1912. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Whitlock, Sr., son, Richard Louis Whitlock, and daughter, Barbara Ann Drummond. She is survived by her sons, Brian Whitlock and wife, Martha and Carl Whitlock, Jr., and wife, Mary; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and other loving family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her long-time caregivers, Forstina Okerie and Elizabeth Umanah. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her six grandsons: Brian Patrick Whitlock, Christopher Whitlock, Mark Drummond, Meredith Drummond, Keith Whitlock, and Jason Whitlock.
