

Josie Marie Cobb went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2018. She was born on May 30, 1939 in Houston, Texas. Josie was a very devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband of 46 years, Albert Cobb, parents, Lee and Josephine Ruffino, brother, Lee Ruffino and sister, Betty Waymire. Josie was a graduate of John H. Reagan High School. She was a stay at home mom until 1982 when she began working for Houston ISD. After dedicating 22 years of service, she retired in 2004. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and devoted many years enlightening the young minds with the CCD curriculum, as well as, ministering to hospitalized patients. Josie was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia, angels and anything pink. Josie is survived by her sons Albert Cobb, Sr. and his wife Carrie, Michael Cobb, Joseph Cobb and his wife Verita, and daughter Anne Cobb-Amy, eight grandchildren: Katherine Cobb, Katrina Cobb, A.J. Cobb, Anthony Amy, Eric Amy, Gera Cobb, Joseph Cobb and Greta Cobb, one great-grandson Sean Lucas, and two sisters Lena Tamborella and Paula Hill. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 5PM until 8PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 E. 10th Street, Houston, with Father Bill Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston. Honoring Ms. Cobb as pallbearers will be Michael Cobb, Joseph Cobb, Eddie Amy, Anthony Amy, Eric Amy and Joseph V. Cobb.
