Joyce Miller Dean was born in Stubblefield, Texas on March 8, 1930, to Jodie and Adell Miller. After High School she worked in Katy, Texas and was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church. She married Robert Edward Dean on February 24, 1958. They lived in Biloxi Mississippi and Sacramento California, and then back home to Texas. Joyce was a devoted mother and beloved grandmother, great grandmother and great, great, grandmother. Most importantly, for her and the children that god entrusted to her care, she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a young girl, and her commitment to him never wavered. Serving the lord and loving her family were Joyce’s greatest commitments. She loved her country and the Lone Star State. She was also an avid Oilers and Texans fan.
Joyce is survived by her children, her daughter and son in law Kellie and Ron Farek, Son and daughter in law, Bob and Dorothy Dean, son and daughter in law, Byron and Jana Dean. She is also survived by her grand children Misty, Maggie, Jed, Lola, Jacob. As well as her great grandchildren Mckenna and Astin and great great grandchildren Oliver and Alice. She had many close friends and extended family that she loved dearly. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Georgia Adell and Jody Hardy Miller, her sisters Dorothy Huskey, Evelyn McIlwinny, Lucille Smith, Betty Gerhart, and her brothers K.D. Miller and Frank Miller.
A funeral service for Joyce will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, followed by a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
