1941-2017
JT Jones was born on September 5, 1941 in Texas where he grew up and lived till he passed away on December 7, 2017.
He graduated from Lamar High School and attended Louisiana State University. Upon leaving school he followed in (Ralph Johnston) his stepfather's footsteps working in the oil business until retirement.
JT Jones was preceded by the death of his father Leonard Jones and mother Dolores Franklin Jones.
He is survived by his daughter Cheryl, son Jaeson, son Jonathan, son Cody, son James, son Anthony and 5 grandchildren.
JT was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the founder of the "Dirt Road Bar-B-Que Team at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He loved spending time hunting on his ranch in Frio County and entertaining family and friends there.
Funeral Services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m.
