Julia Ann Lee (Ross) was born on September 17, 1948 in Lecompte LA to Jonas Ross and Beatrice Bordelon. Affectionately known by her family as “Judy Ann,” she had 12 siblings and was the youngest of five daughters. Julia loved to talk, laugh, dance, spend time with her family, travel, and share her faith with anybody who would listen. As a loyal Christian and continuous student of the Bible, she dedicated her life to Jehovah on July 9, 1983 and attended the Foxwood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had a reputation for being soft-spoken, mild, loving, kind, sincere, hard-working, and unconditionally generous.
Julia retired from the Harris County Hospital District’s Ben Taub Hospital in 2010. She was a Unit Clerk. After retirement, she gave her family, friends, and neighbors her full attention as a tireless caretaker and community volunteer. She will be greatly missed.
Julia fell asleep in death on August 20, 2020 and is survived by her two children: Kelby Lee; son: Shanta Mauney; daughter, and four brothers: Nathaniel, Johnny, Willie, and Ernest Ross; two sisters: Bessie Williams, and Irma Green; two granddaughters: Ajaney Olmedo, and Asia Antonio; one grandson: Kenya Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
There will be a Zoom Memorial Service for Julia Ann Lee on Sunday, September 6 at 1 P.M. CST.
