

Kasmier “Tom” Nowaski, age 91, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born in Lott, Texas and grew up in Marlin, Texas. He served his country honorably with the Marines in Tarawa, Guadalcanal and the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley P. and Helen B. Nowacki; brothers, Edward F. Nowaski and Martine S. Nowaski; and sister, Louise H. Richie. Survived by daughters, Kristie Munson and husband Mitch of Huntsville and Stephanie Benner and husband Steve of Pasadena; grandchildren, Larissa Nowaski, Keegan Nowaski, Colton Munson, Holly Munson, and Ryah Benner; great grandson, Liam Myers; niece, Elizabeth N. Richie; nephew, Ed Nowaski; great niece, Karen Mucker; great nephew, Eddie Nowaski; great great nephews, Andrew and Jacob Mucker; and numerous cousins in Texas and Chicago. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Queen of Angels Church, 4100 TX-3, Dickinson, Texas 77539. A Graveside Service will then be held at 1:45 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Houston, Texas 77038.
