Katherine was a 1974 graduate of Macarthur High School.
Katherine dedicated many years of steady, faithful service as a records clerk with the Houston Police Department and the Bellaire Police Department, earning several awards during her time with the Bellaire Police Department. She retired in 2021. In a way that carried deep meaning, it was especially special to Katherine to work for the Bellaire Police Department after the passing of her late husband, Jack Holbrook, who had served as a Bellaire police officer.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holbrook, and they had no children. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Mary Roliard; her father, Frank Roliard; her brother, Charles Toland; and her sister, Robbie Rolaird.
She is survived by her brothers Larry Roliard (Brenda Roliard), Claude Toland (Billie Toland), James Toland, and Stan Roliard (Gina Roliard). Katherine was cherished by her many nieces and nephews.
With a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart, Katherine was beloved by those who knew her. Her generosity showed itself in the quiet ways she cared for others, and her steadfast faith in God remained a guiding strength throughout her life. She is most remembered for the love she showed to her family and friends, always placing her family above herself.
Katherine found simple joys in reading and in time shared with friends, including many games of Mexican train. She also gave of herself to her community by volunteering for the Bellaire Little League baseball team.
Pallbearers will be Larry Roliard, Stan Roliard, Chase Roliard, Matthew Roliard, and Garrett Stewart.
