Kathryn Ann Brown

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Anna Gregory, and her brother, Leland "Buddy" Gregory.

Kathryn is survived by her loving family: sons Charles Jr. and wife Daynah, Russell and wife Mary, and her three cherished grandchildren.

Kathryn dedicated 25 years of her life as a home economics teacher for 7th and 8th graders at HISD, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1949 and continued her education at the University of Houston, earning her degree in 1952.

Born to nurturing Christian parents, Kathryn enjoyed a joyful and meaningful childhood filled with proud family moments. She married Charles Sr., and together they raised two wonderful sons. Kathryn's professional accomplishments were highlighted by her passion for teaching and her dedication to her students' education.

Outside of her career, Kathryn found great joy in spending time at their lake house, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Services for Kathryn Brown will be handled by Forest Park Lawndale, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and legacy.

Kathryn will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
