I know I am late with my thoughts and prayers, I just came across Kelley's guest book. My deepest condolences to Christine, Audra, and Heather. I wasn't around Kelley much but Heather and I were best friends when we were younger. I am sorry for your loss.

Kelley, Your old buddy Fred is missing you.  I just found out about your passing and I am shocked and sad.  As David mentioned, we were so much like brothers you, David, Bobby and myself! I grew up over at your family's place listening to KISS and playing air guitar!  We thought we were so cool!  You got me busted with my mom at Target for stealing the KISS Alive II poster by making me stick it in my pants and then the security scared us into thinking were going to the big house!  I have so many memories with you and the guys and was blessed to have known you all.  You were very special and always were so cool!  I have missed you since I moved away but have thought about you many times through the years!  I can't believe that you have passed without getting to reconnect again.  I will miss you forever.  You were always kind and fair to all of your friends and you were always the funny one to make us all laugh.  The world is a colder place with out you in it, brother.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  I will surely see you again one day.

I was very sad to hear of Kelley passing. What a beautiful person he was, loved by so many and it was evident at the service. Whenever I hear Depeche Mode, I will think of you.

Now that all is said and done, I just want you to know that your light will forever shine in my heart. I love you Kelley with all my heart, forever and ever, and all the way to Jesus and back. Rest in peace my dear friend.

My condolences to the family & the great group of friends ( the group)!!! Kelley will always be remembered with a smile. He was such a laid back kind of guy. Just remembering be out & about doing GOD knows what brings a smile to my face!!! There were some great times which have made long lasting memories.

Kelley was a true friend in every sense of the word.  Loving, caring, thoughtful...always able to find something encouraging to say even during the most difficult of circumstances.  When I last saw him in August at my father's funeral, it felt like only a short time had passed since our paths had last crossed, even though it had been several years.  I am honored to have had the opportunity to know him and call him my friend, and the many fond memories of the times we shared together will live in my heart forever.  May God bring peace, strength and hope to all he left behind as we mourn the loss of such a wonderful man.

Chris, David, Audra and Heather.  Please accept my most sincere condolences.  Although I hadn't seen Kelley in years, I remember him as such a happy guy.  I know he will be so missed by you all and I will keep you in my prayers.

I have tried to write an entry to this guestbook since Saturday, and have been unable to complete it.  Have tossed it, revised it and need to feel like anything I write will ultimately be all I want to say, but it won't be, anyway.  So, I will try again, until I get close enough to post this, even though I don't think I am up to the task.

The loss of this most unique individual is an unbelievable jolt to the sensibilities of those of us who knew him, and we remain behind to learn the lessons and absorb the meaning of his passing.  At the service today, many of Kelley's qualities were mentioned.  

Kelley was selfless and he represented for me, a ray of sunlight on many a dark day.  He fit where ever he was.  He was a thoroughly engaging and wonderful person whose presence will be missed.  Those of us who have the privilege of having known him, have been enriched by knowing him; he is simply unforgettable. It makes me smile to think about him, even through this trying time. That was Kelley -- someone who always tried to make you enjoy yourself, smile, and be who you are. 

I regret I will not be able to tell him all of this, but someday I will.  His passing should remind us all that we need to take advantage of every day given to us, to let those we love and care about, know that we do, while we still can.

RIP, Kelley.  You were truly one of a kind.

Now ... Who Kelley was to me and my life ... ?

He was my brother and even with this horribly premature ending, he will always be alive and my brother to me. In many ways, we were tied together in ways much deeper than logic can explain. I'd known him since we were 6. Kelley, Bobby, Fred and I were always joined at the hip and shall forever remain so. In each of us lives a little bit of the other ... and in some cases a lot. Kelley was as great of a guy that I've ever known. I cannot praise enough the type of person he was and the mark he has left on my life. Even before this, pretty much every song I heard reminded me of him. His passion, his joy of life, his kind and gentle heart. I freaking love him. He was eternally young. I never expected he would ever die ... much less this prematurely. 

Going to Numbers together to find the latest song, to Record Rack, Astros games, playing pinball together, sharing the duties of driving my stickshift. It just always seemed we were so in tune ... and we were. So, so many memories.

When he passed on, a little bit of all of us did ... but one thing for sure ... He will always live on and burn brightly as long as I do. I will always keep his memory alive.

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I cherished and loved this man. My heart breaks ... and it should. 

He was very, very special. It was an honor to know him and call him my brother. The pleasure was mine.

Thank you for being my friend and my brother Kelley ... I love you SO much for that.

I did not know Kelley very well, just that he was one of my dad's best friends..I remember him because he took the time to buy me a dozen red roses and attend one of my ballet recitals when I was only about 5/6 years old.  I have kept that picture of the three of us..he also attended one of my favorite birthday parties..he was a very nice man and my parents loved him very much!!  Gabbie Morant

I knew Kelley for many years though not on a daily basis like his loved ones and close friends, yet would see him at social gatherings, IE birthdays, barbecues, etc. I never felt like a stranger to Kelley for his demeanor was always kind , accepting, and respectful. For you that knew him well, this surely is no surprise but a common gift
When parting such gatherings, he and I always expressed to another, our mutual goodwill and desire to cross paths again soon.  I'm extremely saddened that Kelly has left our lives, but in faith our paths will cross again and all be blessed!

When David called....SHOCK!!  I alway's thought Kelly would live a long happy life, he was so carefree.  Music.."In Sotto Voce" that was one of his favorites among so many others.  The many house paries we would have with Kelley and Andrei spinning deep into the night.."Numbers" on Friday nights and the Westheimer Art Festival..Kelly loved to play "Hacy Sack" in the street with his friends.  So many fun memories of our youth.  He will be greatly missed..may he rest in peace.

My heart-felt condolences to his family and to all of our friends. When I was a process-server I would run into him as I run in and out of courts and we would sit and take a quick 5 min break and reminisce about our good old days and hoe much fun we had and we would part ways smiling that we are still jamming to same techno in our cars. This one time we exchanged CD's and that totally made my day. He left an imprint in my soul reminding me that Music Heals the Soul and it allows to view life from a dialectical point of view. He was a teacher by example kind of person. He was a great influence to me. I always hoped and looked forward to bump into him when I would be filing papers in the Houston Court System, however he has moved to the next level, a level where our soul does not need a physical form and is part of the promise. Kelley, Jack and I were privileged to know you. For 30 years, you were a brother and a friend to Jack. You will live on in our memories and in our hearts! We have lost a friend and gained a guardian angel. Save a spot for us...

Kelley, you never told me where the fountain of youth was, an inside joke we shared.  I will always remember when he found a couple of kittens at the firm I was at and he named them after the law firm.  I'm deeply saddened and you will truly be missed.  Until we meet again my friend.
