He attended Frances Harper Elementary and Junior High School and graduated from Booker T. Washington Sr. High School. He also furthered his education by attending Prairie View and Texas Southern
University.
Kenneth Ray was united in marriage for 52 years to Joyce Kallie.
He retired from Southwestern Bell after 27 years of service.
Upon his retirement, he enjoyed relaxing and keeping up with sports, especially his beloved Los Angeles Lakers,Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR.
Kenneth Ray was preceded in death by father Lee Fletcher, mother Indiana Buckner and brothers Mark Anthony and Reginald Jerome.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Kallie, daughter Tammy Lamay, son Kenneth Ray Jr. and sister Cheryl Lynn.
He leaves behind grandchildren Latovia Tranette, Natasheana Reshun, Zamara Marie, Jaycee Ray, Kenneth Ray III and great-grandchild Jeremiah James as well as many other family members and friends that loved him dearly.
