Kenneth Russell Scanlan, age 100, of 4620 Bellaire Blvd. #228, passed away on October 22, 2022. He was born in Omaha Nebraska on August 18, 1922. Kenneth graduated from Sam Houston High School. He serviced in the United States Army as a radio mechanic during World War II and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. Kenneth had a career in the oil industry and worked at Teledyne Exploration at locations throughout the world. A number of his inventions were patented by the company and he was well respected by the seismic community. He had a passion for fishing, metal detecting, gold mining and adventure. Kenneth was survived by his daughter in law Neda Scanlan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Dorris, his son Hank (Henry), and his grandson Jacob. He was also predeceased by his two brothers and two sisters from Burwell Nebraska. Uncle Kenneth was loved by his surviving nieces and nephews and was an inspiration to them all. A graveside service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on November 9, 2022 at 11o'clock.
