Kevin was born on March 14, 1966, in Bucklin, Kansas to Harvey and Georgianne Gum. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1984. As a teen, he boxed professionally and then went on to be a welder by trade. Kevin was also an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed listening to classic rock, especially music by his favorite band ACDC. Through many struggles, he remained strong in spirit and lived his life to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughter Kaylee Gum and her husband Walmy Cuello Jimenez, his 2-month-old grandson, Luka Jhon Cuello, his sister Glenna Gebhart, and his twin brother, Kyle Gum and his wife, Lisa.
