Kimberly Beth Norrell, age 67, of Pasadena, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with illness. She was born on July 24, 1959, in Pasadena, Texas where she grew up.
When she was four, she won Miss Kitterick’s tiny tot TV program and later took the title for Galveston’s Little Miss Splash Day. In junior high she was awarded a patch by the U.S. President’s council on physical fitness. She painted pictures for her grandmother Nana who in return wrote her poems.
Kimberly graduated from Milby High School in 1977. She attended San Jacinto College where she displayed her artistic talents in multiple school art shows.
For a short time, she worked as a Child Nutrition Worker at an elementary school. She was recognized in a local news article for the role of wearing a Mrs. Moo cow costume and teaching children the importance of drinking milk.
She was a devoted homemaker pouring her heart into being a wife, raising her children, and creating a warm, welcoming home for everyone she knew. For many years, Kimberly gladly opened her home to her mother and mother-in-law, and cherished moments spent with loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Eugene Norrell, father, Jerry David McCoy, mother, Marilou Flowler Thomas, brother, Lance David McCoy and stepmother, Joan (Liz) Elizabeth Rogers.
She is survived by her sons Jerrod Dylan Norrell and wife Deissy Karina Norrell, Benjamin Earl Norrell, and Cody Robert Norrell; stepdaughter, Crystal Michelle Talbot and husband Christopher Gene Talbot; stepson Andrew Justin Norrell and wife Theresa Marie Norrell; step grandchild, Corey Gene Talbot; brother Shane David McCoy and wife Ruby Garza McCoy; stepfather Timothy Wayne Thomas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kimberly will always be remembered as a wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend who loved her children and for the way she celebrated others and holidays.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on September 14, 2026 at 10:00 am with a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will conclude at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
