Kordel “KD “Deionte Jackson was born on May 29 ,1999 in Houston, TX to Lashante Marie Matthews and Steve A Jackson. Kordel made his transition and was called home to be with the lord September 26, 2020.
KD grew up in Houston, TX where he played football and graduated from Cy-Springs High school. He enrolled in Houston Community College to obtain his degree in criminal justice right after graduation. Kordel trained at a boxing club in Katy for 3 years to advance his sparing techniques. He had a passion for boxing and a love for the sport. Mike Tyson was his favorite boxer and Kevin Gates, plus 2Pac where two of his favorite artists.
KD was ambitious, strong minded and determined to achieve his childhood dreams of becoming a police officer for the Harris county sheriff’s department. To jumpstart his career, Kordel worked as a Detention officer for Harris county (JPC) joint processing center. Upon completion of several basic county correctional courses, Kordel was able to obtain his jailers License and Tcole certifications. He was getting a lot closer to fulfilling his long-term goal in life. While working as a Detention Officer for just over 2 years, he managed to receive a certificate of merit. It was given to him for his professionalism and outstanding service to the citizens of Harris County and the Sheriff’s office. Kordel also received a letter of recommendation for his commendable actions and exemplary performance. His work ethics and compassionate ways towards helping others always seemed to help him succeed in life and win over the hearts of many. Kordel was a substantial hard worker and a role model for those in his age group. Definitely a blessing to everyone, including his peers that had a chance to meet him.
Kordel’s entire Testimony is that of great strength, courage, determination, and strong will to overcome life obstacles. He displayed pure grace and motivation during the most difficult moments of his journey. Kordel’s love for his father was inspirational devotion and the bond they created was inseparable. At the tender age of 21, Kordel possessed all the god given qualities of royalty with his style, grace and pure hearted love for the people.
Kordel dedicated most of his life to be a blessing to others. He accepted Christ at a young age and was strong in faith. He had such an impact on the world that it far exceeds our expectations. If you knew him it was truly a blessing. He’s a great friend, a great son, a great worker, all around a great man who will be missed. - Rest In Heaven You will never be forgotten, and the memories will last forever. Patterson, Grandmothers Brenda Maxie, Fredrica Foster Aunts Bernadette Booker, Tiawona Davis, Precious Arceneaux, Karen Jackson, uncles James Osborne, Chris Jackson, Joseph Jackson Jr., Cedrick Jackson, Byron, Dave, and a host of close cousins, other family members and friends.
