Larry Anthony Soldat, 84, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2026. Born on January 17, 1942, Larry lived a life marked by steady dedication, deep devotion to those he loved, and a warmth that made people feel instantly at ease. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Larry was married to Jean for 62 years, both born in Chicago, IL. Their story began in high school, where they first met—an early chapter that grew into a lifetime of partnership. Together they shared many vacations, both far and near, embracing everything from simple camping trips to the beauty and wonder of Hawaii. Through the years, their time together reflected a love that endured, strengthened by shared experiences and the everyday faithfulness of a life built side by side.
A hard-working man with a kind heart, Larry also carried a gift that drew people close: an easy humor and a genuine delight in making others laugh. He was, in so many gatherings, the life of the party—bringing lightness, conversation, and the kind of presence that made ordinary moments feel special.
Larry found joy in fishing, golfing and took great pleasure in the teams he followed with true enthusiasm. A huge sports fan, he was an avid Chicago Bears supporter and also loved the Houston Astros, cheering them on with the loyalty and spirit that so often mirrored the way he showed up for the people in his life.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jean Soldat; his twin brother Terry Soldat (Rose); his children Jeff Soldat (Claudia), Chrissy Rosen (Mike); his grandchildren, Taylor Lubbock (Luz-Yvette), Ryan Soldat (Yossy), Bryce Soldat (Aubri), Jordan Lubbock, Zachary Soldat, and Josh Lubbock; and his step-grandchildren, Austin Rosen, Elliana Rosen, and Jonathan Rosen. He was preceded in death by his sister Marie; brother-in-law, Russell; his brother Gary and son, Scott Anthony Soldat.
