Lazaro Hernandez Ruiz Jr.

Lazaro was born to Lazaro Hernandez and Maria Ruiz, August 8, 1948, in Villa De Fuente, Coahuila, MX. He married Norma Alamillo Hernandez in April,1970, and they lived together in Houston, TX. Together they raised three children.

He is survived by his wife Norma Hernandez and their children: Lazaro Hernandez III (Maria Hernandez), Maria Dariela Castilla (Hector Castilla), Juan Hernandez (Monica Hernandez). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Lazaro IV, Samantha, and Sophia Hernandez; Madeline and Hector Jr. Castilla; Joanna, Anthony, Natalee, Aaron and Aiden Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his father Lazaro Hernandez; his mother, Maria Ruiz Hernandez; and his siblings.

Lazaro worked as a Plant Operator for Houston ISD for over 20 years. He enjoyed dancing, sports and cooking for his loved ones. He will be remembered for the love and kindness he shared with family and friends.

A visitation for Lazaro will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal will occur Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
