On August 9, 1973, a beautiful baby boy was born to the parents of L.D.Williams, Jr. and Patsy Williams in Houston,Texas. Even as a child and an adult ,L.D. ,better known to many as June boy, was a bright and intelligent person who always knew how to put a smile on the faces of others and give them motivation to keep moving when times were tough and in spite of the difficulties he faced in his own life. He never forgot a birthday for anyone, a phone number or memories that may have been long forgotten by others. He was always intentional when it came to exploring life and the many opportunities presented before him. He was truly a person who loved his family and everyone he happened to meet along his life’s journey. L.D. always called just to say “ He loved you” , to see how you were doing and ended all of his calls by saying “ I will definitely be calling you back and to take care” because he loved his family. He joined Lyons Unity at an early age and showed his love for the Lord and the church by attending worship service and participated in youth and community activities. He was a member of the Cub and Boy Scouts of America. He attended MB Smiley and later a vocational training program. He was a basketball enthusiast and always talked about his love for the sport, along with his own award winning athletic basketball days of old on the neighborhood court. He never gave up on anything or anyone and always gave the very best he had. His father precedes him in death. He is survived by his mother, Patsy Thomas. He is survived by 3 sisters, Jennifer Williams, Routonda Williams and Tarwanza Williams, 2 brothers, Kevin Williams and Jerry Gail Williams, 3 nephews, Aaron Bowden, Lamont Ealy and Christopher Johnson. He is survived by 2 nieces, Aaliyah Ealy and Briana Johnson and host of cousins, relatives and friends.
