

On August 9, 1960 a handsome baby boy was born to L.J. and Doris Morehead. Leo Jarvis Morehead was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He loved and looked up to his older brother, Wilbur. Often allowing him to fend off bullies in the neighborhood. Together, they were the perfect team. Leo grew up in Acres Homes where he attended A.B. Anderson Elementary School, was promoted to Drew Middle School, and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1979. Leo pursued a career in his love of truck driving, which carried on throughout his life. He took pride in driving and was dedicated to Blue and Grey Transport, LLC.In 1983, Leo married and was blessed with two loving children, Lanique and Lon Morehead. His memory lives on through his five grandchildren, Evan Morehead, Toni Stewart, Mesiah Morehead, Cashton Morehead, and Isaac Stewart. Leo was baptized at a very early age. He was a dedicated and faithful member of the church of Christ in Highland Heights. Leo could often be heard sharing the gospel with others on the CB Radio. Leo was fun-loving, comical, type of guy; always joking and making people smile. If you knew him and was looking for him, you knew to look inside the doors of the church; his hang-out spot. He would often request CDs to share with friends and co-workers.In the early morning hours on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Lord called Leo to rest after a year and a half-long illness. He will be missed dearly, but surely never forgotten. Leo leaves to cherish his life and legacy; his father and mother, L.J. and Doris Morehead; children Lanique Stewart and Lon Morehead; brother, Wilbur (Diana) Harris; niece, Ashley Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
