Leon "Buddy" Milton Anderson III

Leon “Buddy” Milton Anderson III, 82, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Coldspring, TX. He was born February 25,1943 in Houston, TX to parents Edith “Polly” Anderson and Leon “Andy” Anderson Jr.

After high school, Buddy enlisted in the Navy and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. When completing his service, he settled in Houston, married his wife Josephine of 59 years, started a small business and raised a family, eventually retiring from Imperial Holly Sugar Company after 27 years.

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Polly and Andy, sister Eleanor and daughter Karen. He is survived by his wife Josephine, daughter Shirley and husband Daniel, daughter Linda and husband Chad. He has six grandchildren, Brandon (wife Morgan), Crystal (husband Danny), Justin (wife Kayla), Emily (husband Ben), Jordan and Harrison and five great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Brynna, Lyda, Gray, and Shep.

The pallbearers for the service will be Buddy's grandchildren, Brandon Willis, Crystal Broadway, Justin Willis, Emily Shepherd, Jordan Farber and Harrison Farber.

Funeral services will be held at Heights Funeral Home,1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008 at 1:00 pm with a Graveside Service following at Historic Hollywood Cemetery at 3506 N. Main, Houston, TX 77009.
