Twenty-five years ago, Leonard welcomed me into the team of ushers at Friendswood United Methodist Church.  I worked with him on one of the 11:00 AM services each month, and on many Christmas Eve services.  He was an absolute pleasure to work with.  He would always brighten my day by telling least one joke to kick off our activities.  He always seemed to know just what to do no matter what odd situation might arise.  While we always seemed to be short-handed, he was always able to recruit someone to help out.  He was almost exactly 30-years my senior, yet he seemed to have more energy than I did.  I always looked forward to ushering with Leonard.  He was my idle!

I send my deepest sympathies to the family and pray that their sweetest memories of Leonard can grow to ease the pain of their loss.
