He was born and raised in East Bernard, Texas and retired in 1993 from the University of Houston after 23 years of service.
He is survived by son, Dennis Wasicek of Kingwood, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Mark Crutchfield of Kingwood, Texas ; grandson, Brian Crutchfield of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Elsie Fojtik of Lane City, Texas; sister-in-law, Brenda Dibello and husband, Joe Dean of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Wasicek; parents, Jerry and Rosie Tymel Wasicek; brothers, Alvin, Paul and Bennie Wasicek; sister, Josephine Krenek.
A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 5-9 p.m. at Dignity Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Dignity Forest Park Lawndale’s Main Chapel with interment immediately following at Dignity Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was a hard worker, a good provider, and will be forever missed.
