Lillie Polk (Bell) Barrett passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Memorial Hermann Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. She was born January 2, 1928 to Philmore and Johnnie Polk. She had two brothers and three sisters, all deceased. Lillie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; chatting with friends and family, taking care of her house and flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was an excellant cook, and enjoyed cooking and baking for others. Lillie began her Christian journey at an early age. She was a devoted member of W. Eleventh Church of God where she developed loving relationships with other members. Survivors include: her son Dennis (Sue), grandchildren Mungu (Lisa), Nitakuwa (Richard), Maisha, great-grandchild, Desta, the mother of her grandchildren, Regina and many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lillie will be forever missed and remembered.
