

Sister Lillie B. Jones was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on March 27, 1924 to the late Theodore L. Ogletree and Rosie B. Ogletree. In 1940 she moved to Houston and continued her education in Houston Independent School District. She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Fontaine First Baptist Church in 1973 under the leadership of Pastor John H. Brown, where she was a member of Mission Board, a Deaconess and a Mission Teacher. Lillie married Henry Jones May 26, 1967 until his demise March 20, 1995. Lillie was a loving spirit who always put God first and loved to sing about how Angels watched over her. She was a strong advocate for Christ and his taught her family how to trust in God and have a faith. Lillie is preceded in death by her sister Lola Mae Ogletree-Morales and two sons Kenneth and Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her seven children: John (Hazel), Leon (Fannie), Larry, Carliss (Laura), Phyllis (Terry), Patricia (Jimmy), Stella (Donald); brother-in-law Alvin Williams; sister-in-law Lillian Goodwin; five generations of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving daughter in Christ, Sister Joyce Wilson.
