Born in Vinita, Oklahoma on October 30, 1955, Linda Bean began her journey through life. What a journey it was! Linda was raised by her maternal grandmother, Lovie Bean, in a household filled with love. It was in this household that Linda began her lasting relationship with the Lord. At the age of 18 Linda moved to Miami, Oklahoma, to attend Neo A&M Jr. College. One year later she met Ronald Collins and knew he was the man God had sent just for her. They were married on August 7th, 1975. She and Ron eventually moved to Beaumont, Texas and there began a family. Together they had 5 children: Ronald 11, Chloe', Crystal, Cherri, and Cortlandt. According to Linda, her children were "the wind beneath her wings." All one had to do was to see this family together and you knew that they had a unique bond. Linda had the opportunity to be a blessing in the lives of her 3 grandchildren: Chandler, Chaise, and Edward 111. While her children were still very young, the Collins family moved to Houston, Texas and Linda began her career as a Homemaker for her family. Later in her life she became an entrepreneur, starting a successful business, "Captivating Florals." She was very passionate about her work and it reflected in her floral designs. Linda was a member at Harvest Time Church and during her 10 years there she became an Ordained Minister under the leadership of Bishop Sheldon Bady. She was a very POWERFUL, ANNOINTED woman of God at Harvest Time and served in the Healing Hands Ministry. Through the many challenges that she encountered during her life she was able to touch and bless many people. Her big smile and her big heart will be remembered by all who knew her. Her favorite quote was, "Do it right, or don't do it at all." For many Linda was the "Icing on the cake", the "Light at the end of the tunnel", the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow. She will be dearly missed, but parts of her will always remain with us.
