

Linda was born on May 26, 1942, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1960. Never one to shy away from hard work, Linda held a variety of jobs over the years. From working in corporate positions at McLean Trucking and Lockheed Martin to owning her own floral design business, she brought a tireless work ethic to every endeavor. In addition, she devoted much of her time to helping out on her family’s farm. In her later years she volunteered numerous hours to charities that she held close to her heart. Linda was also a proud and dedicated member of the Woodforest Presbyterian Church, where she served on several boards. One of her favorite roles was planning the church’s live nativity each Christmas. She was always willing to lend a hand and get the job done. Whether wearing elegant attire, or overalls and rubber boots, Linda was comfortable in who she was.
Linda married Albert A. “Al” Norris in 1994, where they resided in Houston, Texas. They were married for 24 wonderful years and brought each other immense happiness. Whether accompanying Al on his plane to exotic locations or making memories with her family and friends at their ski condo in Angel Fire, New Mexico, her life was full of adventure. But nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. From pool parties to annual cousin trips, she made the most magical memories with them that they will cherish forever.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert “Al” Norris; her parents, Anthony and Eddie “Babe” Furlow; and her brothers, Billy and Buddy Moye. She also joins in heaven her children, Deborah Glawe, Mark Campbell, and Kathryn “Kathy” Norris, and her granddaughter, Desire Glawe.
Linda is survived by her children: Angela Buck (Greg), Chad Campbell (Laura), John Norris (RoJean) and Beverly Moriarty. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: RoShelle (Rodrigo), Layton (Richard), John (Ashlie), Crystal (Justin), Cary, Rachel, Collier, Megan, Joe and Caroline. She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters Sheron Morrison, Ida Fry and Nina Leverett (Rick) and brother Edward “Eddie” Moye (Sandra).
Linda was an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all. She had a gift of making everyone feel like the most important person in the room. The memory of Linda will forever be cherished and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on May 15, at 11:00AM, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider making a donation in Linda’s memory to the Woodforest Presbyterian Church.
