Linda Sandberg, age 74, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.
Born on March 13, 1952, in Houston, Texas, Linda was a proud graduate of Reagan High School. She lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and a genuine love for those around her. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching scary movies, working on puzzles, and enjoying Mexican food—especially if it was spicy. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and Tom Selleck. These favorite things often brought smiles, laughter, and memorable conversations with those she loved.
Those who knew Linda will always remember her unique sense of comfort and style. No matter the season, she could usually be found wearing shorts and flip-flops—even in the middle of winter. It was one of the many things that made her unmistakably Linda and brought smiles to those around her.
Family was the center of Linda’s life, and she cherished the time she spent with those she loved. She is survived by her son, Ricky; her niece, Melisa; her brother, Robert; her sister, Zina; her brother-in-law, John; and her great-nephews, Mason and Owen.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Baxter and Ruby Baxter; her son, Keith; her daughter-in-law, Ammie; and her nephew, Jason.
Though Linda’s passing leaves a tremendous void, her kindness, laughter, and loving presence will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. The memories she created and the love she shared will continue to bring comfort to her family and friends for years to come.
A visitation will be held on June 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. Followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda’s memory to Sleep in Heavenly Peace Montgomery County Chapter or Meals on Wheels.
As we celebrate Linda’s life, we remember a kind-hearted woman who lived life on her own terms, loved deeply, and found happiness in the simple things. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
